The
City of Rupert is located just
three miles north off Interstate Highway
84, between Twin Falls and Pocatello.
Rupert,
a Gem City, is officially
named "Christmas City, USA;
and
bears the titles of Tree City,
USA, Idaho Heritage City, and
is deeply involved in the restoration
of the beautiful and historic
Wilson Theater/ Building.

It
is the county seat for Minidoka
County.

The
beautiful Historic Square,
which is on the National Register
of Historic Places, sets the town
apart from South Central Idaho.
Most celebrations, such as the Fourth
of July, Fish Fry, Potato Fest, and
Christmas celebrations take place
here.

Rupert
officially became "Christmas
City, USA" in November,
1987.
The
City is decorated beautifully
with Christmas lights through the
town and square, beginning the
Friday evening after Thanksgiving.
